My next video explains Tangent Normal Mapping math. Here we have Tangent Normals from a mesh patch transferred in UV space to the head and applied with custom Normals+Tangent from a simplified face mask. Should be able to record next week, job allowing! #b3d #bnpr #geometrynodes pic.twitter.com/B4idUzhnzm

Final shot on this one, instead of using tesselation, I tried POM with a handpainted Height Map, feeling like this all process could allow for a cool art direction! Tileable could be converted in a tileable mesh with Nanite in UE5 pic.twitter.com/nTicBPfH89

Today Lumen Global Illumination and Reflections ship in Fortnite Chapter 4 on next gen consoles and PC. This is a huge milestone for Lumen, as it's the first time we've shipped it in a real game, with foliage, and running at 60fps.https://t.co/E8pknlbDdD pic.twitter.com/LVVhZQ21Gx

Particle occlusion using scene depth from a cubemap. This is basically the same idea as how you would do shadows for a point light. Breakdown in the thread. 👇#UnrealEngine #UE4 #UE5 pic.twitter.com/VVwoPZoAyl

Ran into that thing where I’m trying to move my game in a certain direction, but it “wants” to go in a different one. I’ve seen other devs mention this in the past, but never quite got it until now.

This 3D model was realized for the purpose of my portfolio ( https://t.co/o6rTV09zv8 ). It was built and texturized in #blender and light effects were added in #threejs with custom shaders. https://t.co/Rw7Xmbnb94 pic.twitter.com/i3gVXGinvD

My fade/occlusion system got a small face lift!
I fixed a bug that appeared with UE5 and also implemented visibility/occlusion on the CPU to let you do linetraces on interiors and use the system for point & click applications. pic.twitter.com/jy7dJ2k0PR

Waterfalls were probably the most popular suggestion by players & they were one of my favourite items to add to the game 🌟 The water falls in all directions, so you can block each side to customise how they look 💧https://t.co/gL8RYLxJ3z#gamedev #madewithunity pic.twitter.com/AYxm3VMWfk
